Charitable Donations
Ship Bottom Brewery is proud to support organizations that offer support to people of our community who are in need. New Jersey State law does not allow us to donate beer. We use the proceeds from our sales to donate cash directly to select nonprofit organizations. This maximizes the value of the donation for the charitable organization.
Organizations we have supported and are currently supporting include:
- Pet & Animal Rescues
- Military, Local Fire Companies & Police Charities
- Puerto Rico Real Time Recovery Fund
- Sturge-Weber Foundation
- Local School Fundraising Programs
Donation Guidelines
If your organization would like to apply for a donation from Ship Bottom Brewery, please keep in mind the following guidelines:
- Organization must be a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
- Organization’s mission must be to serve one of the five categories: Military, Police/Fire, Animal Welfare, the Ocean Conservation/Natural Disasters & local schools. We only support organizations whose goals are to address the needs of the categories above.
- Organization must be seeking a cash donation, not a beer donation.
- Organization must have a nondiscrimination policy that prohibits discrimination based on gender identity or expression and sexual orientation in addition to race, sex, color, age, national origin, disability, religion, pregnancy, and veteran’s status.
To Apply
Please submit a copy of your proposal to [email protected] and include the following detail:
- Cover letter/statement of interest
- Copy of your 501(c)(3) letter from the IRS
- Mission statement of your organization and/or strategic plan
- Nondiscrimination policy
The Rules:
- Cash donations only. We have found that we can maximize the benefit to a charitable organization by donating money we generate from selling beer instead of donating beer. Accordingly, we do not donate beer or sponsor events.
- We select one organization each quarter for a donation. Applications will be considered on a rolling basis.
- If your organization is not in one of the five categories, you are not eligible for a donation under our charitable contributions program.
Surf Rescue Cali-Common is available TODAY! Brewed with our friends from the Beach Haven Volunteer Fire Company, this classic styled beer was made to help those who help save us! A portion of the proceeds will go back to the Fire Company – so enjoy an easy drinking beer while giving back to our community!!

Join us for a laid-back pottery date where you will learn to handcraft your very own beer mug adorned with the iconic Ship Bottom Brewery logo. Shape & sculpt your own masterpiece while sipping on your favorite Ship Bottom brews. Local pottery artist, Tricia Bennett, will guide you step-by-step through the fun & relaxing process of hand-building pottery! No experience required; all levels are welcome!
Date & Time: April 27, 2024 / 11am-1pm

What’s included: Step-by-step instruction & guidance, aprons, clay, tools, glazing, firing & one draft beer or draft seltzer.
Firing and Glazing: Once you’ve completed your mug, we’ll take care of the firing and glazing process. Glazes are non-toxic, microwave, food, and dishwasher safe!
Pottery will be ready for pick-up after 2-3 weeks at Ship Bottom Brewery or you can pay to have it shipped.
What to Bring:
A thirst for creativity & Ship Bottom beers
Your preferred pottery attire (clay washes out – but you may get a bit messy!)
